Sportsbook Report: Portland Pilots (-5.5) vs. San Francisco Dons

By Wally Jeter

Just perused the Bovada Sportsbook and saw the Pilots as -5.5 favorites over the San Francisco Dons. Is this a cruel trick? That line should be far higher! The only reasoning I can think of is that they are over compensating for the injuries of Riley Barker and Bryce Pressley. Pressley is doubtful for today's game with a concussion and Barker is done for the rest of the season with a knee injury. The Pilot's bench stepped up without these guys on Thursday and I see them doing the same today. Alec Wintering has been on fire as of late and I think they will be able to ride his coattails for another dominating win. Look for Jason Todd and Gabe Taylor to see increased minutes, they look ready for it!

Could I not be giving the Don's enough credit today? Possibly. They are 1-4 in WCC play with their only win coming against Pacific (a 6 point win). They had a close 1 point loss to San Diego and outside of that they had expected beat downs against BYU, Gonzaga, and St. Mary's. This should be an easier stretch for them but I don't think they will have enough for the Pilot's today. Take the Pilots and lay the points.

Pilots Courtside bet: Pilots -5.5

(Season record on Courtside Bets 6-5-1)    (3-0-1 on my WCC picks)

Did I mention Kevin Bailey is BACK!!!
