Sportsbook Report: Portland Pilots (+10) vs. St Mary's Gaels

By Wally Jeter

I have been trying to hold out until I got more info on the injuries of Alec Wintering and Kevin Bailey but haven't heard anything yet. Probably won't know until the pregame radio show. With that said, the Gaels beat us at Chiles by 9 points earlier in the year and they are currently 4th in the WCC standings and are coming off a road loss to San Francisco and a road beat down of Santa Clara last week. Tonight St Mary's will be favored by 10 points, according to what I saw earlier on sportsbook.com. Pilots have been scrambling just to put a healthy team together and have been forced to go deep into their bench. They also haven't been able to unlock the secret of getting Thomas van der Mars more integrated into the offense. Going with St Marys to cover tonight, I'm hoping they are saving Wintering and Bailey for the WCC tournament at this point. Health will be the major road block to finishing out this season respectably.

Pilots Courtside bet: St Mary's -10

(Season record on Courtside Bets 11-5)
